How I Sold a $1.5 Million Custom Solution

My Challenge:
PayPal®, a subsidiary of eBay®, is constantly challenged with showcasing and communicating their product benefits to tech savvy customers and affiliates, as well as new and existing employees. All communications need to stress the characteristics PayPal® is known for-trust, reliability and a daily willingness to go beyond the promises of their competitors.
My Solution:
PayPal® recognized that I could help them promote the strengths of the brand through a variety of print, promotional products and electronic methods. One solution in particular included the development of a custom box with a USB Smart Button that links new visitors to eBay-PayPal® for information about the companies.
The Human Resources Department took notice of the success of this program and worked with me to transition it into the main component of a new-hire package that contained a variety of information about all of the eBay affiliates including Skype®, Verisign®, PayPal® and others. The package functioned as a resource for new employees to get acclimated with the brands.
My Results:
Due to the positive reaction from our other promotions, I was also able to provide support items such as the annual company-wide eBay® calendar, the employee rewards website, the company store, eBay volunteer shirts, global-building gifts and a Take-Your-Child-To-Work Day custom backpack filled with crayons, pine wheels, a Frisbee and coloring books.
